240+ references, no minimum order

What if your bottles told
their own story?

A QR code on the front label. A video of the winemaker tasting and presenting their own wine. Automatically subtitled in the consumer's language.

The context

A shrinking market, an offer that all looks the same

Wine consumption is declining. Consumers no longer want just a bottle - they want meaning, transparency, a story. And every reference in your range needs to stand out on a shelf full of look-alikes.

↓

Wine consumption is declining steadily, and competition increasingly plays out on price alone - a game no one wins long-term.

?

The offer is hard to read for the end consumer: too much choice, not enough cues to tell one wine apart from another.

+

Customers want connection with the producer - the origin, the gesture, the authenticity - far more than a technical sheet.

How it works

Four simple steps

Step 1

You choose

We offer 240 references spanning every style and region - drawn from more than 70 independent producers. 51 of them already come with their own winemaker video, and 90+ more are on the way. Build your assortment exactly as you need it: no minimum order.

Step 2

They scan

In a world where most bottles are picked on price or label alone, this one stands out for a different reason: a discreet QR code built into the front label, hinting at a story waiting to be discovered. One scan is all it takes.

Step 3

They watch

With family, over an aperitif, at the table, or alone - your customer tastes the wine alongside the winemaker's own story and tasting tips. In one minute, something even someone who's never really "understood" wine can follow. A genuine experience, for wine lovers and first-timers alike. A few examples below.

Step 4

They come back

Next time this customer shops for wine, they won't remember the price they paid - they'll remember the story they watched. That's what brings them back to your range, instead of a competitor's anonymous bottle.

A wine bought on price is easily replaced by the next one in line. A wine tied to a face and a story becomes a reason to come back.

See it live

This is what it
looks like in real life.

Just a phone, a bottle, and a scan. The moment your customer discovers the story behind the label.

FAQ

Common questions

Is Vinessen a video-tech company or a wine distributor?

We're a wine distributor first - 20+ years sourcing and exporting from independent producers across Europe, Australia, Africa, North America, and Asia. The QR-code/video concept is something we've built on top of that, not instead of it. You're still working with a distributor; this is simply how a growing part of our catalog now comes to life in the bottle.

Do the winemaker videos cost extra?

No. The QR code and video are included in the price of the bottle - there's no licensing fee, no per-scan cost, nothing added to your invoice.

Do all 240 references come with a video?

Not yet. 51 references already have their own winemaker video today, and 90+ more are in production. The rest remain available exactly as a normal wine order.

Can I choose which references get the QR code, or is it fixed?

Yes, it's up to you. Not every reference needs to launch with a QR code from day one. Many importers start by testing it on just a handful of references, see how their customers respond, then expand from there.

Do I need to change anything on my end - packaging, import process, customs?

No changes needed. The QR code is printed directly on the front label before the bottle ships to you - it's imported, stored, and sold exactly like any other bottle.

What will this concretely bring me?

For you: a disruptive offer in a category where everything looks alike, a concrete argument when selling in to stores and retailers, access to 240+ references with no minimum order, a reason for your customers to come back for your range specially, boosted sales, and a way to speak to a younger generation at ease with scanning and video.

For your end customers: a tasting guided by the winemaker themselves, no jargon, accessible in 3 seconds with no app to install, wine made approachable with no expertise needed, available 24/7 automatically in their own language, and a bottle that becomes a gift with meaning.
